THE PROCESS

Step 1:

Your cylinder arrives at PowerSeal. To keep track of your cylinder throughout the process, we register it in our system. Here he is given a number which simplifies the process and always keeps the right data with the cylinder.

Step 2:

This is where the journey of your cylinder begins. First, we rinse the cylinder clean in our degreaser cabinet so that all surface dirt particles are removed.

Step 3:

After the cylinder comes out of the degreaser cabinet, we blast the cylinder. We do this to remove all stubborn dirt.

Step 4:

In case the cylinder is too badly damaged, it will have to be welded. This is always done in consultation with the customer.

Step 5:

Once the cylinder is welded, it is cut to remove the excess weld and make your cylinder neatly round again.

Step 6:

To make sure there are no burrs on the cylinder, we mill all the edges of the cylinder. This way, we are 100% sure that the electroplating process goes well.

Step 7:

After the cylinder is completely prepared, it goes into the galvano bath. Here he builds up the nikasil layer on the inside.

Step 8:

Once out of the nikasil process, the cylinder is honed. Here we make the cylinder to the desired final size so that there is always a perfect fit with the piston.

Step 9:

Before the cylinder leaves our premises, it is invoiced to the customer. After it is paid, it goes out the door.

Step 10:

The cylinder goes through final inspection and is thoroughly cleaned one last time. Then we carefully pack the cylinder so that no transport damage can occur. The parcel service will then pick it up and bring it back to you with great care.
